Competition among countries and companies is fundamentally competition for science, technology and innovation capabilities. Since 2008, when the global financial crisis occurred, major countries in the world have placed increasing importance on technology foresight, giving strategic priority to disruptive technologies, which have disruptive effects on the development routes of conventional or mainstream technologies, opening upnew possibilities. It has been shown that those who take the initiative of disruptive innovation will have the best opportunities for development. This article presents foresight studies of innovation directions of disruptive technologies by researchers in Japan, the United Kingdom and Russia.
